D.A.N.I. was founded in 2005 by a group of parents who have special needs children. We were searching for a solution, where not only are our needs met, but the needs of our children. We don't want to wait for an "emergency" to happen in our life -usually a drastic one, like both parents' death, or the child's total mental break down. We want to be an active participant in making decisions together with our child, our family and support circle. We want the same choices for our special needs children, like we have for our "regular" kids. And most of all, we want them to be part of the Jewish Community. An integral, valued, contributing part of the Jewish Community.
